Zoeva Nude Spectrum Palette | Review + Swatches

Zoeva are a very well known brand in the world of beauty bloggers, especially for their rose gold brush sets which are a bloggers dream. I've wanted to try the brand for a while, but the shipping costs put me off ordering anything direct from the website. I recently found out that Beauty Bay stock Zoeva products, and they'd recently released some new palettes and I just had to order something.

I picked up the Nude Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette as it's the one that caught my eye the most. First up, the packaging is to die for. It's not just your normal matte black packaging, it's got a soft to touch texture to it which is so unique and it definitely adds something more to the palette itself. I am a neutral palette lover, and I own more than is probably acceptable but that will never stop me buying another one. I was happily surprised to find this isn't your average neutral palette, containing a few more out there shades which justifies me adding it to my ever growing collection.

The palette contains 15 eyeshadows; a variety of shades in shimmer and matte formulations. All of them are incredibly pigmented except the black, but to be honest I have never used a black eyeshadow from any palette so I'm not overly fussed about that one. All of the colours look so much better on the skin than they do in the palette, with my favourites being the bright yellow gold shade on the second row down, and the coppery red shade on the right of the third row down.

As I hadn't used anything from Zoeva before I was skeptical about how easy to apply and blend they would be, but I couldn't be more impressed. They're some of the best shadows I've ever used. The wear time is incredible, I recently went out to a gig which I must say was very very sweaty (ew gross) but my makeup looked exactly the same when I left as it did when I went in. All my eyeshadow was intact with no creasing at all, which definitely proved the wear time to me. Nude Spectrum is a staple palette in my everyday makeup routine, but the variety of shades means its perfect from day to night.

The Nude Spectrum palette costs £28.50 from Beauty Bay, which for 15 shadows I don't think is a bad price at all. I was seriously contemplating making another order very soon, including some of their brushes but they've recently increased the price of their brush sets by £15 which I just can't justify. I don't mind little increases in prices, as I know brands have to do it, but £15 is a lot to increase a brush set by. If it ain't broke don't fix it springs to mind. I may order a few more palettes soon, but the brushes are off my list for now.

What's your favourite Zoeva product, and what do you think about the price increase on their products?
