BLOGMAS #14 | The Reality of Blogmas

Thursday, 24 December 2015

It's currently 23rd December and before this post I managed a grand total of 13 Blogmas posts. This year I promised myself that I was going to complete Blogmas, and then continue to blog daily for as long as I can. I love my blog, it is my happy place and I wouldn't change it for the world, but life gets in the way sometimes.

December has been an incredibly scary but exciting month for me already. I took some massive risks, and yes they have definitely paid off, but it's not an easy thing to do. I'm in a very good place at the moment and after a few very shitty months, I'm pretty proud to say that I deserve to be as happy as I am at the moment. My blog does suffer heavily when I get sidetracked in life, and I hate the fact that over the 2 year period that I've had my blog I've never stuck to a schedule, it's not something I've ever been good at.

I had so many plans for posts throughout December. I had everything planned in a spreadsheet and it really all was there for the taking, but life gets in the way, things change. I found Blogmas so fun at the start because I had all my photos taken ready for the posts so I just needed to write them and I have about 5 scheduled before December even started. It was an uphill cycle from that, the weather was awful which meant I couldn't take photos, and Blogmas didn't seem so fun anymore. I was stressing about posts, I was getting worked up because I wasn't posting on time and it just wasn't what I wanted Blogmas to be for me. I tried to keep posting but in reality I wasn't happy with it, so it just wasn't going to happen.

I thought I'd put together a few tips for Blogmas, for me to look back on next year so I am a lot more prepared! Hopefully I will complete it next year...

Be Organised | I recommend that you literally organise everything you possibly can in preparation for Blogmas, I thought I'd done this, but when it came down to it I was seriously lacking organisation. Plan your posts in advance, know what photos you need to take, create a schedule. It will all help a great deal.

Schedule Posts | If you can write a post daily I will actually bow down to you, I can't do it. There are days when I don't even sit down with my laptop due to being busy with work and college, so scheduling is my absolute life saver.

Be Consistent | I find posting at the same time everyday works for me, as people know what time to come back to your blog to read the next post. If you're doing Blogmas but not posting daily, let your readers know. They're more likely to stop reading if you lack posts or the consistency drops, which is something I found massively this year as I wasn't posting regularly.

Don't Beat Yourself Up About It | If you miss a day, don't beat yourself up. I know I said being consistent is important, but seriously do not get worked up if you miss a post or if something goes wrong. Blogmas is supposed to be fun, and if you're getting stressed over it, it's not worth it. Take a break, take a step back and start writing again when you can. It is not the end of the world.

Make Sure You're Enjoying It | I can tell you now, if you're writing for Blogmas for your readers and not for yourself then it's going to be a hell of a lot harder to get quality content out over the month. Daily posting is hard and you have to be really into it to complete it, if you're not enjoying it I would seriously evaluate why you're doing it, what you're doing it for and weigh up the pros and cons. Blogging is not supposed to be a chore.

If you're struggling to get views on your Blogmas posts, as you're posting so much more than usual and sometimes readers can't keep up, here's a few tips to help:

Comment on other Blogmas posts | This is one of the best ways to get your Blogmas posts out there. I've found that going through '#blogmas' on Twitter is a great way to find other people doing Blogmas, and everyone always appreciates comments so share the love a bit. If you comment, people are more likely to comment on yours and see you're doing Blogmas.

Share on Social Media | This is a no brainer for me. Social media is my main source of views, especially through Twitter. Again, use #blogmas in your tweets, I've found it to be a great help for views. I like to post photos on Instagram about the post too after it's gone live to let people know there's a new post up, as I have a very different following on Instagram to my Twitter. I personally suck at using my Facebook page, which is something I will hopefully get better at, but I've found sharing things on my personal Facebook to be a great help as friends and family are more inclined to share the posts.

Make It Obvious | Tell literally everyone that you're doing Blogmas, tweet about it, instagram it, shout it from the rooftops. Word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertising. Tell your family and friends if they know about your blog, keep reminding people on Twitter that you're doing Blogmas. I've gone through Twitter a few times this year and seen a few bloggers are doing Blogmas just by them tweeting about it, and I've then gone on a huge reading spree of their blog. Keep people updated on everything and they should keep coming back to read.

I may have failed at Blogmas, but I hope this post will encourage me to attempt it next year and be a bit more organised. Did you attempt Blogmas this year, or are you attempting it next year?

BLOGMAS #13 | Hang A Bauble With Homesense

Wednesday, 23 December 2015

After venturing out Christmas shopping the other day, I popped into Homesense. If you didn't know Homesense is a dream shop all year round, but especially at Christmas when it's filled with all the Christmas bits and bobs you could ever want. I'm not feeling overly festive this year, but my trip to Homesense definitely helped me out on that one..

Homesense have teamed up with Action for Children for the sixth year running to create an incredible Christmas campaign to raise money for those less fortunate. The idea is that you go in store, buy a bauble for £1 and then write a lovely Christmas message or your favourite childhood memory and hang it on a tree in store. All the donations go to Action for Children and it's local services.

This is definitely a campaign worth supporting, and look at all the decorations you can get for the little price tag of £1. It's safe to say I went a bit crazy on the decoration front this year, but it's all for a good cause so I feel a little less guilty about the money I've spent. Last year Homesense raised a total of £150,000 for Action for Children, can we beat that this year? If you live near a Homesense, I really encourage you to go and get involved in this campaign, and pick up some pretty baubles. They have a brilliant variety, but I can't promise you that you won't want to walk out with the whole store at the end of your trip...

Are you writing a message for Homesense and vulnerable children this year?

*Post in collaboration with Homesense but all views are 100% my own.

BLOGMAS #12 | Things Every Beauty Hoarder Tells Themselves

Sunday, 20 December 2015

Ever since I became a beauty blogger I have become quite a beauty hoarder too, I am not proud of it, but I'm proud of my collection so that justifies everything I ever buy. I know this isn't a festive post at all but as it's nearly Christmas and the Boxing Day sales are usually pretty good for snapping up some beauty bargains, I thought I'd remind us all that it is ok to have 100 similar products, because they're not the same.

1. One more lipstick won't hurt
2. I need a cheaper alternative to (insert foundation/lipstick etc.) as I never want to run out
3. But it looks pretty in my collection
4. There was a 3 for 2 deal, that definitely justifies it
5. But it was limited edition, I had to buy it
6. I will find a way to make this work for me one day, especially that black lipstick
7. They're not the same, just incredibly similar
8. But it's part of my collection now, I can't get rid of it
9. Of course I didn't buy it just for the beautiful packaging, what an awful assumption to make
10. When did I buy all these, oops, the more the merrier I guess

Are you guilty of any of these?

BLOGMAS #11 | Homeware Wishlist

Saturday, 19 December 2015

Over the past few weeks I've been having a massive clear out in my room and completely decluttering everything because to be quite honest I own a lot of pointless crap. I just seem to keep things for the sake of them, so I've decided to get rid of it all in time to redecorate my room in the new year. When I've redecorated I'm going to be upgrading all my furniture and buying cute pretty things to make everything a bit more homely. I'm going for a simplistic monochrome with a hint of copper tones style, oh how blogger cliche of me...

Marble Phone Case | £12 | 20% off with the code 'ami20 | I know this isn't actually for the home, but I'd definitely buy it for show. I never have a phone case on my phone, I know I live life on the edge, but I love the whole marble trend. This phone case is a marble lover's dream, so pretty much every blogger, yeah?

Copper Tray | £14.99 | H&M have absolutely smashed it out of the park this year with their homeware, I've had my eye on SO many pieces all the way through the new seasons. I cannot wait to finally buy everything, starting with this copper tray. No I have no idea what I'll use it for, but I think it'll look really nice on my desk with a few odds and ends in it.

Black Spotty Mug | £11.60 | Who doesn't need a new mug? I don't drink hot drinks very often but I just could not say no to this mug. I think it'll look so cute sat on my desk. I am so guilty of buying things because of their appearance rather than the use I'll get out of it. The gold detailing round the top sold it to me, and it'll make a brilliant blog photos prop. I am definitely trying to justify buying this.

Gold Spotty Candle | £7.99 | Candles are my favourite thing ever to buy. I have a massive collection of Yankee Candles, but I've now decided that although they smell absolutely incredible, they're not the nicest looking candles so I want to expand my collection to balance that out. I thought this little offering from H&M was perfect, as it's not an overly big candle and I love the gold pattern on the outside of it.

'Big Spoon, Little Spoon' Pillowcases | £24.95 | Big Spoon, Little Spoon pillowcases are something I've wanted forever. Even though it's only ever me in my bed as I am lacking a big spoon, I think these pillowcases are super cute! My lack of big spoon will not stop me buying these, I can starfish and make it look like there's two people to make it acceptable.

Stay Classy, Sassy and a bit Bad-Assy Print | £6 without frame, £13.50 with frame | 20% off with the code 'ami20' | Prints are really starting to catch my eye lately. They've never really been something I've ever wanted to buy, but after deciding that I'm going to make my room as motivational as possible I've been searching for prints like crazy! I love this one as it represents me perfectly, well my image of me in my mind anyway, so it's perfect for motivation. Monochrome Motivation, that's totally a thing now.

Marble Tray | £6.99 | If you haven't seen this tray at least 100 times this year, you've been living under a rock. I need it, and yes I definitely need it because everyone else has it and I am a massive sucker for buying into the hype. Marble is just so photogenic.

What Would Blair Waldorf Do? Print | £9 | Blair Waldorf is my queen, I need this print in my life. She is my inspiration for so many things, Gossip Girl is life.

Black Wavy Cushion Cover | £6.99 | I currently only own one cushion which is the worst. I think cushions make everything look so cosy and warm, I want to cover my bed in cushions and throws. I love how simple this cushion cover is, and there's a few more in the range to match that I'll obviously have to pick up to go with it.

She Believed She Could So She Did Print | £4-£11 | I love this quote, I seriously want to just fill my room with motivational prints to help me get through the rest of my A Levels. I own a notebook with this quote on already, but I think this print is absolutely perfect. It's available in a rose gold/copper shade which is definitely a sign for me to buy it, right?

Copper Wire Basket | £7.99 |  I've been looking for something to keep all my shower and skincare favourites in for a while, and I think this basket is the item I need. I hate having all my products cluttering up my bathroom, and I think everything will look neat stacked away into this basket as it isn't too big or too small. A perfect size, and yet again in a gorgeous copper colour.

Marble Makeup Bag | £12.96 | This is the most amazing makeup bag I have ever laid my eyes on. It's so beautifully made and just look at the print. I need it. I love the copper zip detailing on it as well, it just adds an extra touch of prettiness. Etsy is full of amazing products, I was so happy to stumble across this. For just under £13, I think it's a steal.

BLOGMAS #10 | Winter Skincare Saviours

Friday, 18 December 2015

As the winter is in full swing I have been making a massive effort with my skincare over the past month or so. I usually suffer from quite bad dry patches on my face due to the harsh winds completely drying my face out and leaving it rough. As soon as I felt it getting colder I stepped up my skincare routine and it really has made a massive difference to the appearance of my skin.

Winter Skincare Saviours

Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream | £27 | I don't think I can rave about this product any more than I have done in the past two months. It has made both my October and November favourites so I won't go on too much, and you can read a more detailed review here. This daily face cream has become a holy grail for me though, it's thick and really settles into the skin which is perfect to keep the skin moisturised all day and prevent the weather taking its toll.

Burts Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream | £20 | Burts Bees are a brand that are quite new to me, and this is the first night cream that I've tried so I wasn't sure what to expect when I first tried this. It's a very thick product, that can take a little bit of working into the skin but it is so worth it. Once it has settled into the skin it leaves it silky smooth and moisturised all night. It creates a perfect base overnight, so you can apply your makeup straight onto it in the morning without having to do other skincare prep if you're in a rush, or you're lazy like me.

The Body Shop Camomille Butter Cleanser | £13 | I recently switched up my cleansers and decided to use a different product to my usual Ark Skincare Cleanser. This was probably the best thing that I've changed up in my skincare routine, I am really loving the thick butter formula at the moment. It's a brilliant cleanser and removes absolutely anything, including stubborn waterproof mascaras! I love how luxurious it feels to massage a butter cleanser into your skin, especially during the drier skin months. If my skin ever feels like a baby's bottom, it's definitely after using this.

Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub | £14.25 for 250g | A Lush product in one of my posts, that's quite a rare occasion don't you think?! I'm having withdrawal symptoms so I just had to include my favourite face scrub. I don't think anything will ever top this scrub, it restores my skin to a healthy and smooth state, which makes my makeup apply more flawlessly as the dry patches my foundation normally cling to are reduced and barely noticeable at all. It also smells incredible, I really do just sit here smelling it sometimes. I may be a little bit obsessed, which would probably explain why I currently have three tubs of this on the go...

What are your Winter Skincare Saviours?

BLOGMAS #9 | Christmas Gift Guide For Her

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

Urban Decay Vice 4 | £43 | Yes I do know that I have photographed the Vice 3 not the Vice 4, but I don't own the Vice 4 (yet) but I really wanted to include it as it's such a beautiful palette. The packaging is absolutely incredible, and I think the shade range is better than the Vice 3. It definitely is not a palette for a natural lover, but if you know a girl who likes to experiment a bit then this is the palette for her.

Balmi Lip Balm* | £4.99 | Balmi have just launched their 'Metallic Collection' which is a range of 3 flavours in pretty metallic packaging, and yes of course there is a rose gold offering. The collection is made up of Roseberry, Cherry and Blackcurrant. I think these would make perfect little stocking fillers, or the set of 3 would make a great present for a lip balm lover. They all smell so good and who can say no to that rose gold packaging?

The Library of Fragrance| £15 | I couldn't just pick one scent to advertise in this post as there is just SO much choice from The Library of Fragrance. I think their scents make perfect gifts, as you can buy a few and make a little set as each one is only made up of one note. This means they're really easy to wear on their own, or to mix a few together as their isn't a load of notes being mixed together. My favourites at the moment are Hawaiian Vanilla and Eggnog, the later being a gorgeous Christmas scent!

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

Burts Bees The Natural Edit* | £30 | A lovely set containing a variety of products, perfect for anyone that loves to give themselves a bit of a pamper every now and then. The set includes a Coconut Foot Cream, Milk and Honey Body Lotion, Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb, Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream and a Beeswax Lip Balm. There's something to look after every part of the body, what a perfect set!

Seventeen Easy On The Eye Palette in Birthday Suit* | £8 | If the Vice 4 wasn't up your street then this palette will be. Seventeen launched a range of palettes right before Christmas and I think they're a bargain! The packaging may look a little cheap and plastic, but the shades inside it are so worth it. It's a neutral lovers dream palette with a mix of shimmers, mattes, creams, and a primer to stop the shadows creasing throughout the day. I think this palette would be great for any age, but I'd definitely pick one up for a younger sister to introduce her to makeup.

Antipodes Honey Manuka Mask | £22 | Everyone deserves a bit of a luxury pamper every once in a while, and this mask is definitely the right way to go. If I don't get this for Christmas it will be the first thing I buy. Buy it for the girl who loves a face mask, you'll thank me later.

Christmas Gift Guide For Her Burts Bees Uncap Flavour Collection

I Love... The Big Weekender* | £30 | I Love... are one of my most used bath products alongside Lush. Their bubble baths are my favourites as they're so cheap and all smell amazing. They're a brand I've been buying since forever. I spotted this absolutely massive gift set, which is currently on offer in Superdrug for half price, so £15! Bargain! It comes in a pink carry case which is so cute and includes a range of products including; Cherry Almond Sparkle Bubble Bath, Body Butter and Body Spray, Raspberry and Blackberry Shower Smoothie and Hand Cream. It's an absolute steal of a gift.

Lush | I couldn't post about gifts and not include Lush, they're my favourite gifts ever to receive (I mainly buy them for myself but we won't tell anyone that). Lush absolutely smash it out of the park every single year with their Christmas collection, and their gift sets are to die for as well. Go and check them out - you will not be disappointed!

Burts Bees Uncap Flavour Collection* | £15 | Burts Bees are so on point with their sets this year, there is such a variety of sets to choose from but I spotted this lip balm set and knew I had to have it. I am a sucker for lip balms, my lips are so dry throughout the year so I'm constantly carrying about 6 lip balms around in my handbag. This set of 5 lip balms is a great gift for anyone, you can never have enough lip balms! p.s Burts Bees lip balms are my favourite, especially the Vanilla Bean Lip Balm in this set.

Freedom Makeup House of Glamdolls Vintage Doll Palette* | £8 | If you have a younger sister, or someone just getting into makeup, this is another perfect palette to give as a gift. It's a complete steal for only £8, containing two blush shades, four lip shades, twelve eyeshadows, a highlighter and four brow shades. All for £8?! I love the mix of colours in this palette too, as you can keep it natural, but there is also room to experiment too with the darker shades. A great gift for any makeup lover looking to expand their collection, or anyone looking to start one too.

I also wrote a post about what I want under the tree this year, which you can read here.

What's on your Christmas list this year?

BLOGMAS #8 | Top 5 Festive Red Lips

Thursday, 17 December 2015

Red lips at Christmas is a certain thing for me. I've been wearing a red lip for Christmas for the past few years and I absolutely love it. Last year I rocked MAC's Russian Red, which is still my all time favourite red, it's just such a classic. Red lips just look so festive and classy to me. It's definitely becoming my tradition to wear red.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Big Bang | Even though this looks incredibly sticky in the swatch, it's not as bad as it looks. Yes, it is very difficult to apply and preventing it from bleeding into the skin is the most annoying thing ever because it wants to go everywhere, but once you've applied some lip liner as a base this is such a gorgeous shade. Having a lip liner base takes away the stickiness too, leaving a shiny red finish. This lip lacquer definitely is not for everyone, but I love it. I definitely wear it for the shade, not the formula, so if anyone knows a similar shade with a better formula please let me in on the secret because quite frankly the formula is crap without a good base.

MAC's Russian Red | I'm not sure how many times I can rave about this lipstick without people getting sick and tired of it, but this is a perfect red. This lipstick lasts through anything which is why it is my go to for Christmas, with all the eating and drinking it's such a pain to have to reapply your lisptick throughout the day, but this one lasts without having to reapply every hour. I love the blue toned red shade, it matches my complexion perfectly but doesn't give me that pale ghost look either. It's just the perfect shade and formula. MAC are the queens of red lipstick.

Maybelline Colour Drama Pencil in Light It Up | The proclaimed NARS Velvet Matte Dupes, although I don't own any of the NARS offering I'm not quite sure how these pencils can improve at all. They have a fantastic formula, they're velvet and matte, they don't drag much when applying and their pigmentation is incredible. The wear time for a lip pencil is brilliant, I hardly feel the need to touch up when wearing these. I own a few shades but Light It Up is a lovely bright pop of red in my collection, and definitely a go to for the Christmas period.

Julianne's Red by L'Oreal | I am not sure why the swatch of this looks so pink, but I can assure you it's just a VERY bright red. It's the brightest red I own and I wore this constantly throughout the summer, but after trialing it a few times in the past month or so I found it's also a perfect shade for the festive period. It has a creamy satin texture that is a dream to apply, no dragging on the lips at all, but it also doesn't fade very quickly which is unusual for a satin formula. This is definitely more of a Christmas party lip than a Christmas Day lip for me, but that's my personal preference!

Clinque Cherry Pop | Recently I picked up Tanya's Glamour issue, which I have to admit I was a bit sceptical about and I'm still not sure on the way they portrayed her, but she looked incredible so go Tanya. Along with the magazine came this Clinique mini, I opted for the red shade instead of the nude and I am absolutely loving it. It is a deep cherry red, but it's not like a dark burgundy shade, it's the perfect inbetween. I'll admit it doesn't have the best wear time, but that's nothing a bit of lip liner can't sort out, along with a few touch ups. It's really moisturising on the lips, which is great for the days when your lips just can't handle a matte lipstick anymore, something I seem to get a lot over the festive season.

BLOGMAS #7 | 10 Things I Want To Do This Christmas

Tuesday, 15 December 2015

If you haven't noticed already, I am SO behind with my Blogmas posts. Last week was hectic and me being the lazy unorganised person I am completely forgot to schedule any posts at all. So here I am with Blogmas #7, I will be posting twice a day hopefully to catch up with my Blogmas posts as I determined to complete it this year!

If there is something I don't really have over Christmas, it's Christmas Traditions. Everyone seems to have something they do every year, but I've never done something every year religiously. I really want to change that as I think the idea of traditions is so cute and it's always something to look forward to.

Visit the Christmas Markets | This is something that I've done as a sort of tradition over the past few years and I absolutely love doing it. I've already planned my trip to the Christmas Markets this year with Becky from Becky Bedbug, she is my favourite and we are going to have a ball! Christmas markets are just beautiful and so so festive, especially my local one as they have ice skating right in the centre!

Buy a Christmas Jumper | I have never owned a Christmas jumper, like ever. I own a Christmas onesie but that's about as far as I've ever gone, but I've seen some pretty cute jumpers this year and I just have to buy one.

Go Ice Skating | Ice skating is one of my favourite hobbies ever, I've always wanted to take ice skating up and get lessons but along side horses and rugby I really don't have time. I haven't been ice skating for a few years so it is my plan this year to go and try not to crash into anyone. I'm joking, I can ice skate, kind of.

Decorate My Room | I'm not having a Christmas tree at home this year, as I am going away for Christmas, but I really want to decorate my room so I feel more festive. I usually have a little tree in my room anyway but I seem to have misplaced it up in the loft, so I'm gonna have another hunt around for it, and failing that I will cover my room in even more fairy lights.

Have a Christmas Film Day | Christmas films are the best films. There is no denying it. If you can tell me you don't love Home Alone then I'll probably think you're lying. They've recently added a bunch of Christmas films to Netflix so I'm going to have a binge day watching films and wrapping presents, could I get any more festive?

Bake Something Christmassy | Baking used to be something I did all the time, but now I couldn't tell you the last time I cooked something that wasn't for dinner. Making a gingerbread house is something I've wanted to do for years and I finally may attempt to make one this year, if it goes well I'm sure there will be a post on it. If it fails, you will never hear about it and I'll rock up a batch of Christmas type cakes or something.

Have a Costa White Hot Chocolate (or 100) | I have actually already fulfilled this, I went to Costa on the 1st and grabbed myself a white hot chocolate and I am definitely regretting waiting so long to get one. I have a Costa at work so I can see this becoming a regular tradition over the next month.

Stock Up On Lush Goodies | Christmas is the best excuse for a Lush haul. I am going to stock up on a few things to last me up until Christmas. I am waiting for their Boxing Day Sale to spend all my money on it, it's crazy but Lush is so worth it.

Winter Walks and Rides | I definitely prefer going on walks in the Winter than any other time of year, I just love it when it's cold and you can wrap up really warm and everything outside just looks so cold and crisp. I am exactly the same with riding horses, I do love how light it is in the Summer, and hate how cold my hands get in the Winter, but there is nothing better than taking your horse out on a chilly winter day, especially when it snows. I love snow.

Visit More Family | If there is something I suck at it's definitely visiting my family. I live very close to my Dad and one set of my grandparents but I rarely see them, and it's something I really want to make more of an effort with. Not everyone is around forever and it's really easy to take advantage of your family, if you don't live close enough to visit remember to pick up the phone every once in a while. At the end of the day you can't change your family.

Is there anything you want to do over the Christmas period?

BLOGMAS #4 | November Instagram Catch Up

Friday, 4 December 2015

It's that time of the month again! I love reflecting on my month with Instagram so much, even though I am absolutely rubbish at uploading, I'll get better I promise. October was a hard month to top for me memories wise, but I think November did a pretty good job too. This month I did a lot of things on my own and really worked on my independence, I've never been happier to be honest.

1. New Look deliveries always make my day, this one was made up of true Autumn fashion. Faux fur, burgundy skirts and knee high socks, absolute perfection. I have been wearing this jacket 24/7.

2. November was another month of flower deliveries, this beautiful bunch from Blossoming Gifts brightened up my room for a couple of weeks, I was so impressed with them!

3. I took a trip down to Ruma Salons for their opening launch with a few of my blogging babes and I got my nails and hair done! Look how pretty they made my hair with this waterfall side braid. I need to take another trip down there to get my nails done in time for Christmas, you can read my post on the day here.

4. Jo Malone is just so photogenic. I took a trip to Southampton for a solo shopping trip, I am yet to walk away with a Jo Malone perfume but I am so tempted, next time maybe...

5. It was a MAC Rebel kinda month for me. My Autumn holy grail by far.

6. Who doesn't love a Lush Haul? All the prettiness. My room also smells amazing, I think it may be time for another haul before Christmas though...

7. Lord of Misrule made my November. I am so annoyed that I didn't pick up more, just look how amazing that bath is. Lush 2016 Halloween Collection I need you right now.

8. I headed down to Wedgewood Rooms to see my main man Saint Raymond perform and he was absolutely incredible. Callum you really are a beautiful human being. It was the my best night in November and I wouldn't change a thing about it, except my incredible embarrasing drunk snapchats, but that's what happens right? Read about my night here.

9. November was another month that I have been totally obsessed with my Naked Smoky palette, I cannot stop using it. Friday nights with the girls are fab, but doing my makeup is my favourite.

December is an incredibly exciting month for me so I am so looking forward to writing my final Instagram Catch Up of the year at the end of the month.

What was your favourite November highlight?

BLOGMAS #3 | Christmas Beauty Wishlist

Now that is's officially December I think it is perfectly ok to be talking about what I want for Christmas. I'm usually very hard to buy for so I receive money for a lot of my gifts which I actually don't mind, as I love going out and spending it on things I actually really want instead of my family stressing over what to buy me! In 2016 I really want to up my makeup game and buy a hell of a lot more products, so Christmas is the perfect way to start that...

Blogmas Christmas Beauty Wishlist 2015

Bobbi Brown Rich Caramel Eye Palette | Bobbi Brown is a brand that I've never actually tried, I see their shimmer bricks raved about 24/7 but there's never really been anything I've wanted to pick up. This eye palette changed that for me massively, it is a neutral lovers dream. It may be a bit pricey for £38 with only 5 shades in it, but look at that glitter shade. Give me all the glitter.

Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette |  Urban Decay have absolutely killed it with their Vice palette, I received the Vice 3 last year and I love it. The Vice 4 is a lot more unique and although it's rather colourful, I need it. The packaging is the main thing for me, and you can't tell me you've never bought something because of the packaging! The new Gwen Stefani palette is my other option, I may just buy both...

NARS Humoresque Lip Vault | £130 | NARS have done it again. Every year I lust over their Holiday collections and I still don't own anything from the brand. They're that brand that I always mean to buy from but I like to buy in person and my closest NARS counter is quite far away so I always leave it. After seeing this set of 5 Audacious Lipsticks in such pretty packaging, I think my jaw actually dropped. It's beautiful, and it's the perfect set of shades. Santa please love me.

Origins Ginzing Moisturiser | If you haven't heard about this moisturiser you're living under a rock, every blogger I know has tried it and raved about it, well that's what it seems like anyway. It's everywhere. I love Origins, their facemasks are a dream and make my skin perfect. I need a new moisturiser because I am crap with skincare, but I think if I find a really good one I'll get better so it might just be my time to pick up Ginzing and see what all the hype is about.

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask | I've recently just starting using Antipodes products and they're working wonders on my skin. I've had a bad skin week this week and it's cleared right up after using their cleanser and daily moisturiser! Everyone raves about their Aura Manuka Honey Mask and I am definitely one to give into the hype. This is going straight in my basket very soon if I don't receive it for Christmas.

Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita Set | I must be dreaming to even think about putting this on my wishlist, but just look at it. I was just going to add the Dolce Vita palette to my wishlist but when I saw it in a set with all the other pretty products I couldn't resist adding the whole gift set. I am dying to buy something from Charlotte Tilbury, she has got her packaging on point completely. I am sold, I will own something by the end of 2015.

Laura Mercier Sleek & Chic Palette | Laura Mercier is a brand like Bobbi Brown to me, nothing has ever really caught my eye enough for me to want to try anything. I saw this palette in a Christmas gift guide over on Creepers and Cupcakes, which you can read here, and I instantly googled the palette. I love the shade range and for £45 I don't think it's a bad price. After that googling session I discovered a few more Laura Mercier products I want to try as well, I love blogging for introducing me to so many new brands, I don't think my bank balance feels the same way unfortunately!

BECCA Glow on The Go Set | BECCA products have taken the blogging world by storm and there is definitely a reason why. Their highlighters are literally highlight heaven, and I think this set is a great introduction to the brand containing two products to try for the bargain price of £20.

Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms | Another Charlotte Tilbury product, oops, but it's so pretty... I have wanted a CT lipstick forever but I have no idea what shade to get and seeing as their isn't a CT counter anywhere near me I don't want to splash out on a lipstick that won't suit me. This little gift set is a great way to try 3 of their lipsticks to see what suits and what doesn't and try out the formula. I may just take a trip to London and buy a full size one if this isn't under my tree on Christmas Day.

NARS One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette | If you can tell me you don't lust over every single palette that NARS release you have to be lying to me. Everything they produce is beautiful and their packaging designs are so unique and creative. I want a few NARS blushers and their holy grail Laguna bronzer but I don't know if I'll ever use them enough to spend that much on them, so this palette which contains 4 blush shades, 2 contouring blush shades and their bestseller Laguna bronzer, seems like the perfect buy for me.
